Lexus’ Story

Sweet Lexus was found on the highway by a state trooper. Matted and skinny, we thought this poor gal just needed some tlc. She was lucky enough to pull on the heartstrings of a fellow rescuer who gave her a soft place to land. She was microchipped, but after 30 days and more than a dozen attempts to have her owners call back to reclaim her, she officially came into our care.

Everyone who meets this petite little girl immediately falls in love. She’s happy to just sleep quietly at your feet and to sit pretty for treats.

While addressing her routine medical needs, some bb sized mammary tumors were found and removed. The tumors proved to be malignant but thanks to the excellent care of her vet, we believe all the troublesome cells were removed and she has an excellent prognosis.

At 13, we knew she was likely to be a long-term resident but who could say no to her sweet face?
